my all-time favorite flicks

The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996)
"Well if it isn't the forgetful spy..."
Seriously one of the dopest flicks to come out of the nineties, and one of America's best female-driven spy films, period. This is my fave Gina Davis role, for sure, and, of course, Mr. Jackson did his motherf*ckin' thing, as usual.
True Lies (1994)
"What kind of a sick b*tch takes the ice cube trays out of the freezer?"
The governator's Harry Tasker became the quintessential American spy a full two years before the world met Cruise's Ethan Hunt. With Tom Arnold providing the comic relief, it's no wonder this relentless action thriller has found a permanent place in my heart.
Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018)
"I am the storm."
The original 1996 film that kicked off this franchise blew my mind as a kid, and M:I:3 reinvigorated that fire with powerful performances and explosive action. Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation were dope as well, but it wasn't until Fallout that I realized that this man, Ethan Hunt, was truly America's James Bond. I haven't even seen Dead Reckoning yet, but so far, this one feels like Hunt's Skyfall.
